Dr Marilyn Glenville BEd (Hons), MA, PhD is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine, a nutritional therapist, psychologist, author and broadcaster who obtained her doctorate from Cambridge University. She is the former Chair of the governing council for the British Association of Nutritional Therapists and former chair for Foresight the Association for the Promotion of Pre-conceptual Care. She is also a member of the Nutrition Society.

For over twenty years Dr Glenville has studied and practised nutritional therapy, both in the UK and in the USA, specialising in the natural approach to female hormone problems. She has had several papers published in scientific journals, frequently advises health professionals and often lectures at academic conferences held at The Medical Society and the Royal College of Physicians. She is also a popular international speaker. As a respected author on women's health care she gives regular talks on radio and has often appeared on television and in the press. She is the author of a number of best selling books including: 'Natural Alternatives to HRT' and 'Natural alternatives to Dieting' , 'Natural Solutions to Infertility' and 'The Natural Health Handbook for Women'.

Dr Glenville has been officially appointed by the Food Standards Agency as an observer on the Expert Group on Vitamins and Minerals set up by the government to look into the safety of vitamins and minerals.

In July 2000, Dr Glenville was invited to give a presentation in the House of Lords to The Scientific and Technology Committee, on behalf of The Nutritional Therapy Council, on the standards of nutritional training in the UK and the benefits of nutritional therapy to the general public.

Dr Glenville has also been elected Chair of the steering group for setting National Occupational Standards (NOS) for nutritional therapists in the UK.

With her special interest in the female hormone cycle Dr Glenville also works with women who are having menstrual problems including heavy periods, painful periods, pre-menstrual syndrome, fibroids, endometriosis etc. who would like to work on a nutritional approach to these problems.

Dr Glenville also helps couples who are having difficulty conceiving because of unexplained infertility, problems with the woman's cycle or problems with sperm count, motility etc. She works with couples who are having recurrent miscarriages or a problem with a previous pregnancy or who are preparing for IVF .
